Thanks for your interest! I haven't posted a comprehensive thread in some time, so decided to post a new one. I started with all games and plan to update for other items at a later date. Happy to send pictures when I'm able to. Most things in great shape, but certainly not perfect.
Looking to ship to continental US only at this time.

2020.11.26 16:51 thePalestGirl DOG FRIENDLY Top Floor 2 bdrm/1 bath IN-UNIT laundry! Central a/c, granite countertops, dishwasher $1525 Edgewater

I got a job offer out of state and have to end my lease early. I have lived in this apartment for 2.5 years and I would absolutely stay another year if I could. I need to find a subletter to take over the lease for Jan 1 (or later, if you have a flexible move date). I currently pay $1525 a month.
This is a dog-friendly building, there are no weight or breed restrictions. If you have a dog in this city you know how hard that is to find. But don’t worry, there are no mean dogs in the building — right now there are only 2, and one is some kind of micro puppy, the other is a very friendly couch potato.
Apt is top floor! No upstairs neighbors! There is in-unit laundry! Central heat and a/c, dishwasher, granite countertops — everything was gut rehabbed before we moved in. It gets great light and sun year round. Tenant pays electric and gas (heat) utilities.
There is a small back porch that gets a lot of sun — my dog literally spent all summer out there suntanning.
Neighborhood:
This is technically West Edgewater.
It is 0.8 mile walk down Granville to the Red Line. Whole Foods is exactly 1 mile away. Cermak Market is 0.7 mile north. Warren Park is 1 mile north, a giant park for walking the dog, running, or golf. Target is 0.6 miles away. Emmerson Park is across the street, with tennis courts and a playground. Clark St Andersonville shops and restaurants are 1 mile away.
Metra is building a new station on Ravenswood Ave — not sure when this will be done, but it’s something to look forward to.
I have a dog and we walk all over and know a ton of the neighbors, it is a friendly neighborhood. I know all the tenants on this side of the building and everyone is friendly, some are long-term 2+ year tenants.
Free street parking.
Cons:
You can take over my lease from Jan 1 to June 30, 2021 or sign a new lease with Cagan Management. They have been surprisingly great landlords, when I have an issue they literally fix it within 24 hours. My rent was only raised $25 in the 2.5 years I have lived here (and my neighbor negotiated his rent with them, so everything is negotiable).

This is the building and management company:

Cagan's web site says they now charge a $20 monthly pet fee, but when I moved in I just paid a pet deposit.

2020.11.26 04:56 Arrebios The Cap Economy on the East Coast

Hello Fallout fans!
Recently, someone made a thread talking about a possible FAQ for falloutlore. It reminded me of the fact that two of my posts on this subreddit (on synths and power armor) were made because I wanted something easy to point to when those topics came up. So, I want to do that again.
Quick Disclaimer: I do not use the Fallout Bible as canon. Not that it changes much in this case, anyway.
The East Coast's Use of the Bottle Cap
It's a topic that comes up often, with one recent thread focused on a possible explanation for the East Coast's use of the bottle cap. I disagree with the premise in that thread and have written about it before, so might as well compile it all in one place.

Nuka Cola and the Bottle Cap

Fallout 76 shows one of the earliest known instances (perhaps the earliest) of the bottle cap currency. For those unfamiliar, the Whitespring Resort was partnered with the Nuka Cola Corporation for a special promotion that saw caps used as legal tender.
Staff Bulletin, October 2077
TO: All StaffFROM: J. Wilcox, General ManagerCONFIDENTIAL - NOT FOR PUBLIC RELEASE
Several updates this month.* THE SPRINGHILL golf tournament has been canceled.* The Nuka-Cola Corporation will sponsor our first BUSINESS CLASS promotion. To celebrate the release of Nuka-Cola Quantum, Nuka-Cola bottle caps will be accepted as legal tender throughout the hotel.* The IRONCLAD SERVICE transition concludes this month. With limited exceptions, all non-management personnel should have received their termination notices. An Employee Farewell dinner will be held in Governor's Hall on 10/15 at 7:30pm. On behalf of the management team, I would like to thank you for your years of dedicated service to The Whitespring.
For completeness sake, it should be noted that robotic vendors accepting caps as money has happened before in canon. Hopeville and Ashton's military installations had automated commissaries installed which accepted ration chits to dispense goods. The enterprising soldiers of said bases figured out they accepted bottlecaps too:
Attention all base personnel:
The automated Commissary system has been locked down until further notice. It turns out that the "counterfeit-proof" pay chits we've been issuing to you are exactly the same size and shape as ordinary bottlecaps). Until we can correct the problem, you'll have to make your purchases the old-fashioned way.
-SSGT Lansky
However, there are no provided dates on those entries, so we can't determine which came first - the commissary trick or the Nuka Cola promotion. Likewise, this is more of a trick or glitch than any official use of the bottle cap as money.
Furthermore, we know that the survivors inside the Whitesprings Resort were still able to use bottle caps months after the Great War:
USER LOG - 12/14/77
When the world goes to hell, you don't expect much good news. Well, today we got some: Paula's inventory. We're set. With so few people left on the property, we've got food enough to last years, maybe a decade. Other supplies, too: clothes, meds, spare parts, generators. Guns and ammo, if we need them. Probably better off than those Vaults.
Can't be too careful, though. That Nuka-Cola promotion is still going on, so I've arranged for the robots to bring me the caps they collect, and I'll dole them out to the guests so they can buy what they need. Makes for a nice little rationing system.
I was trying to find information on the adoption of the bottle cap by the Water Merchants of the Hub, but neither the bottle cap entry nor the Hub entry have any in-game or official dates and instead rely on the Fallout Bible.
Unless we assume that the Hub was established the exact month of the Great War, this suggest that the East Coast use of the bottle cap predates the West Coast use.

Spread Outside the Resort

Here there is less definitive evidence. There are a few possible explanations for the use of bottle caps across Appalachia's robotic vendors:
We'll be sure to have a disbursement of ... whatever it is being used for currency up there these days credited to your account.
Or a combination of all of the above.
All we know is that by the time the Resident enters Appalachia in 2102, the bottle cap is in widespread use.

What Backs the Appalachian Bottle Cap?

"Backed" can mean two things, both of which are important here.
When people often ask "What backs the East Coast cap?" they are often thinking about it in comparison to the West Coast cap, which is backed by water or gold (the wiki entry only offers developer statements). In this sense, people are talking about caps as representative money. We can see examples of this thinking here, here, and here.
To answer this question on its own grounds, nothing backs the East Coast cap.
To answer this question in another, truer sense, social contract and software programming backs the East Coast cap.
It is fiat money. In Appalachia, bottle caps have value because robots (software programming) says it does, and therefore people agree that caps are valuable (social contract). At the same time, since people agree that caps have value, robots can be convinced that caps have value (Skinner).
It is impossible to disentangle these two social backers for the eastern bottle cap. Even if you remove one, the other will guarantee its resurgence.

West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland

Disclaimer: The wiki does not have a full listing of all Fallout 76: Wastelander dialogue files, so some of these will require video evidence rather than quotations.
We know many of the original inhabitants of Appalachia fled during the Scourged Plague's height. The Raider faction from Wastelanders, for example, is comprised of native Appalachians:
The Raiders are no strangers to Appalachia. At one time they even called it home. After they caught wind that people were returning to the land they once claimed for themselves, the Raiders and their leader Meg decided to come back and put a stop to anyone who would dare snatch up their rightful territory.
In-game, Meg mentions being from Appalachia and leaving during the Plague (5:36 to 7:12).
Basically, we know that not everyone died due to the Plague. Some survivors or perhaps smaller groups of survivors upped and left, only to return later. This is not unreasonable given the above in-game examples as well as the real world distances between Fallout 76 and 3. There's a twelve hour hike between Harper's Ferry (Fallout 76) and Raven Rock (Fallout 3). There's a 24 hour hike between Morgantown (Fallout 76) and Pittsburg (Fallout 3). The proximity to these two locations suggests a causal link between the use of caps in Appalachia and them.

The Spread of Caps to the East Coast

To re-iterate:
We can surmise that the use of caps spread from Appalachia to the Capital Wasteland and the Pitt.
Exactly when this process began is unknown. As it how long it took. What we do know is that, by 2103, the Blue Ridge Caravan Company has entered the area, hoping for trade. It has seemingly retaken access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, connecting several counties and states together, and, according to Vinny:
Since we're one of the few sources of outside cargo coming in, even the folks up in Crater give us a pass.
Since they take caps as payment, this means that the cap still functioned despite the temporary abandonment of Appalachia, away from its robotic backers.
Furthermore, if we buy into this theory, we have an easy way to explain the use of caps in the Commonwealth and it's related areas.
Meg's wiki entry mentions traveling to the Capital Wasteland and the Commonwealth during Appalachia's abandonment:
We've traveled the Wasteland from the Commonwealth to DC. We take... whatever we want. And we want that vault. Who's going to stop us? You?
However, this reference is unverified, so take it with a grain of salt.
This reference, on the other hand, is verified:
You should have seen her back in her heyday! Why, we traveled up and down the coast, from the Commonwealth to the Broken Banks. Good times, but these days she's not fit to take out to the coast. Too many spouts ready to drown her, and too many critters looking for lunch.
Taken together, or even just alone, this suggests that there was a sufficiently flourishing trade between D.C. and the Commonwealth. This opens up a possible venue for fiat caps to spread to the Commonwealth (and Bar Harbor and Nuka World).
Coincidentally, if the Broken Banks is indeed a reference to the Outer Banks in North Carolina as its wiki entry suggests, it should be pointed out that the Blue Ridge Parkway extends to North Carolina:
The Parkway runs from Virginia all the way to Cherokee, North Carolina.
If the Blue Ridge Caravan Company's memo is real, then there is reason to believe there is both land and sea trade between the Capital Wasteland and some unknown group in North Carolina.

Some Possible Objections

  1. Could the Capital Wasteland, the Pitt, and the Commonwealth have come up with caps on their own?
    1. Yes. However, there is (as of this writing on 25/11/2020) no evidence that suggests this.
  2. Could caps become backed by gold, as suggested by the Resident in Wastelanders with regards to the Secret Service Vault?
    1. Sure. However, there is (as of this writing on 25/11/2020) no evidence that suggests this.
      1. Arguably, turning caps into a commodity money would be useless at this point. Caps already have value. It doesn't need some backing material resources.
  3. Could the Brotherhood of Steel have imported the idea of a commodity backed cap to the East Coast?
    1. As I mentioned elsewhere, the BoS would somehow have to become a big enough economic player and gain enough influence on the Capital Wasteland, the Pitt, Appalachia, and the Commonwealth to introduce the idea of representative money.
      1. They would also have to convince all of these regions that their fiat caps are worthless now.
      2. They would also have to convince Appalachia to just stop using the robotic vendors.
      3. They would also have to not be convinced to adopt a fiat currency by everyone else.
  4. Could the East Coast cap become a representative currency after the events of Fallout 76?
    1. Sure. however, there is (as of this writing on 25/11/2020) no evidence that suggests this. Neither Fallout 3 or Fallout 4 suggest that bottle caps are representative money.
  5. Couldn't the cap have been introduced by a Jet Road?
    1. Only if we imagine that a Jet Road was established before the Bombs dropped and the Nuka Cola Corporation ran their promotion.
      1. Frankly, I put negative stock into the Jet Road theory.

Quick Summary

Appalachia gave the East Coast the use of bottle caps. On the East Coast, bottle caps are fiat money, backed up by social agreement. Attempts to turn it into a commodity money have either failed or were never attempted in the first place.
I can't think of anything else to add, and I think I'm reaching the 1k word limit, so that'll be all. Feel free to add on or critique.

2020.11.23 20:30 lavaspills Selling financed car to Clutch

Has anyone had experience selling their car to Clutch?
I am currently still fiancing my 2017 golf, but because of wfh we don't need two cars.
We were going to sell it privately but because of COVID and just general safety concerns with selling a car online/privately, we decided to go with clutch. I got the car appraised and I'll be gaining a bit of money, not as much as I would privately but that's fine. I'm still saving money in the long run with insurance and just having the car sit there while waiting for it to sell.
I spoke with clutch and after the initial quote the process goes like this:
bring the vehicle back to our facility with the ownership, bring a direct deposit form/void cheque, and a dated document from your lienholder that indicates the remainder financing payout due.
Clutch would pay off the loan after purchasing the vehicle and just send me an Electronic Funds Transfer for the remainder.
Want to make sure I'm covering all my grounds here. Has anyone else had experience selling their car to Clutch or a similar service?

2020.11.18 00:01 andrewluckswife Trip Report! 11/7/20-11/14/20

First, though I have been to WDW a couple times, it had been several years (2003 and 2009) and so much has changed! I lurked this sub regularly to get tips and found it hugely helpful! A huge thank you to the pros out there who contribute!
Like so many people, my trip plans changes pretty drastically post-covid. This was a 30th birthday trip that I planned with my boyfriend and family and I was admittedly bummed out about my "dream trip" getting modified. Our original planned group was 14 people, only 5 ended up going. We had reservations at Port Orleans Riverside and ended up choosing to stay off property since POR was closed and the savings ended up being really meaningful. We also decided to shorten the trip by a few days since our group was so small. BUT, all in all, we had a really great time.
General/Covid Stuff: I was very impressed with how well Disney handled Covid-related restrictions. They were properly staffed to manage and guide crowds, watch for mask violations, etc. I felt safe and didn't once feel like I needed to "escape". I saw a lot of various feedback about postponing trips until after Covid-restrictions are gone, and general feedback was mixed on this topic. My official takeaway is that if you're expecting specific experiences, you are likely to leave disappointed. There's obvious things missing like big parades and firework shows, and some smaller things like pre-ride shows being removed to allow for distancing. If you go in with an open mind and minimal agenda, I think it's enjoyable. I personally preferred the reduced crowds and experiencing the parks without a timeline. With that being said, I did notice a few angry guests who seemed frustrated by changes to rules, specifically. For example, I watched a lady FREAK OUT on a cast member when there weren't any more mobile order spots available within the hour at Flame Tree BBQ. I gathered that she had the day planned pretty thoroughly and was upset by not being able to walk up to the window and order (like perhaps you used to be able to??). Either way, if you have any specific plans in mind (no matter how small) it would be wise to research new protocols as I gathered a lot has changed mid-pandemic.
Hotel: We stayed at the Mystic Dunes hotel a few miles from the parks (not Disney affiliated at all). It was very okay. We had a three bed three bath (with two kitchens!) and the extra space was really nice. It ended up being cheaper for our whole family to stay there than a single room would have been at POR so we definitely got great value out of it. The guys in the group appreciated the on-site golf course. It was clean and comfortable, but dated and the service was pretty poor.
Transportation/Entry Deets: Our hotel didn't have their park shuttle running, so we rented a car. Most parking lots were allowing cars through about 45 minutes before park open and you could get through the turnstiles as soon as you got to the front. One quick note on this and on-site hotel value: it did seem like hotel transport was running a bit earlier than self-parkers were let in. We were one of the first cars in line each day but still were met with pretty big crowds at rope drop. This leads me to believe that many people are either ubering, or park access is slightly earlier if you're staying onsite. So, though fastpasses are gone, this seemed like a good perk for being able to get a popular ride or two knocked out before the park was truly open to everyone.

Crowds: In terms of people **in** the parks, it didn't seem overly crowded to me. I was able to move around freely and never got panicked about lack of social distancing. Ride wait times, though, got pretty long. Hollywood studios especially was hour-long waits for most everything we wanted to ride, even at rope drop. For the rest of the parks, we found success in being present at rope drop and wait times were more manageable first thing in the AM. By afternoon, most everything had 40+ minute waits and 90+ for popular rides. With fast passes gone, I'd recommend arriving to the parks at rope drop with 1-3 rides you really want to do and plan on just having longer waits for the rest.
Magic: Disney magic was in no way gone for me! The newer rides (FOP and Rise as standouts) are incredible and so well executed. It was nice to get to see the classics again and compare them to the latest and greatest. The cavalcades were very cute and the Christmas decor was as breathtaking as it's ever been. My whole family enjoyed our trip and can't wait to go back again in a few years (and see the full-blown experience so many rave about on here!)

2020.11.17 19:38 _no_children_ The Wooden Box

It was after nine when Richard heard Jenny’s car ascending the driveway. They’d been married for seven years, but he still got a puppyish shiver of excitement. The tires bouncing up the little curb cut down to the street, the front, then the back; the engine’s hum growing and deepening, before going silent. Moments later, always a little later than he expected, the car door’s padded thump into place would mean that she was again truly returned, that a mistake hadn’t been made, that they were again home together.
Their being home, together, was Richard’s favorite activity, no matter the exact specifics. It happened every night and every weekend, but Richard felt a genuine peace when they were home together. He enjoyed bouncing to the door to meet her – again, puppyish – with a hug and a kiss.
Usually, Jenny was home no later than six, but her grandmother hadn’t been doing well and she’d stopped off there, first – Jenny’s childhood home, across the suburbs from the very nice home that she and Richard now shared. Richard had correctly offered to meet up with Jenny at her grandmother’s house, of course, but Jenny had insisted he not. “She’s giving her shit away, is all.” And then Jenny would mimic her grandmother’s geriatric rasp: “I’m not long for this earth.”
Certain matters, Richard understood, belonged to Jenny and her brother Louis, and it was Richard’s job to only help if asked. (Louis’ long-term boyfriend was also not there dividing up the blue willow china, Richard had verified.) Richard didn’t want to be intrusive. He was ninety-nine percent sure that Jenny meant it, when she said that it was best he just hang back at home.
Nothing much to say about Jenny’s entrance through the front door: Her exhausted hair falling into her eyes, her backpack sliding off one shoulder onto the ground, Richard in front of her bouncing up and down on his toes in the foyer. It was their routine when she came home after a usual workday, so he followed-through even though it was late: He would be skippy and excited, in a faux-naïve contrast to her grumpy exhaustion, like he was merrily unaware Jenny had spent the past workday stymied or frustrated or (at best) immensely bored. He liked their routines.
Jenny described herself as an aspiring former lawyer. The work was clean and straightforward enough, the money more-than-fine; her firm defended an auto insurance company in civil litigation. She took the work more seriously than many of her coworkers (in Jenny’s term, her “office morons”) did – most of the fact patterns were fairly similar, you could get through most depositions or arbitrations working off the same script as long as you were half-awake – and she was expecting to be promoted to partner before long.
There was no quick summary for why she hated her job as much as she did. Richard would never ask; she’d already told him in glimpses and fragments, that, taken together, added up to a complete disdain for her work and the people involved. “It’s just not the daydream, you know,” is what she said when their friends asked.
Jenny worried that being a “partner” would hobble the desultory job search she was always undertaking, make her look overqualified as she applied for the new careers for which her main holdup was, in fact, having no germane qualifications at all. She had no reason to think she was the best candidate to be the grants manager for an arts organization, or a business professor, or a pharmaceutical marketer, but a few resumes had been issuing every month, for the past few years, nevertheless.
Richard liked his work just fine: His father had gotten him set up as a day trader before he and Jenny got married; the loan from his dad wasn’t going to be repaid, but it was interesting and you didn’t need a high school diploma. They were doing well.
Jenny slumped onto a kitchen barstool and Richard poured her a glass of wine. “How was it?” he asked.
“I’ll want help getting everything from the car in a minute. I’ve got like four tote bags full of just stuff we don’t want. Louis didn’t want any photo albums so I’ve got all those. My great-great-I-guess-grandfather’s diplomas for some reason. Just, shit. Some old lady jewelry and knickknacks.”
“Aw, I’m sorry. Is she doing okay?”
“Yeah. I mean, she’s fine. She’s been not-long-for-this-earth since I was five. She’s just finding a new way to melodramatically suffer.”
Richard circled around kitchen bar and put his arm around Jenny. She leaned her forehead into his chest and put her arms around his waist. “If I die first, promise me you’ll just burn all of this,” she whispered into his stomach. They were playing with her self-seriousness, and so Richard pet her hair and doubled down into the joke: “I promise. Everything will be destroyed.”
Jenny’s family was from Vienna (her grandmother, presently not-long-for-this-earth, had emigrated), and the diplomas were cool, actually: German and Latin calligraphy on elegantly-yellowed parchment, no shortage of bells and whistles about God and the Emperor. Before long, they were leaned against Richard and Jenny’s bedroom wall, the photo albums on the ground next to them, the jewelry a tangled heap on the dresser. Jenny had also gotten some small framed pictures, a set of sterling silverware (neither of them knew what “sterling” meant, exactly), and a small, hinged wooden box, a cube, slightly larger than Richard’s fist. Jenny opened her nightstand and put the box inside.
“So, this is one of those boxes that you can’t open at night,” she said, getting up from the bed.
Richard wasn’t quite sure that he’d heard. “You can’t open at night?”
“That’s right. It’s one of those.”
“Does it… Is it locked, or what exactly?”
“No, it doesn’t have a lock. Maybe it should, really,” Jenny scoffed at the box and drifted into the bathroom.
Richard rolled to Jenny’s side of the bed and slid the drawer open. The box was simple, no markings or decoration. He reached over and picked it up. The top of the box was affixed with two plain-looking hinges on the back. As she’d said, there was no locking mechanism or, it seemed, anything keeping it closed. It felt empty. Well, he decided, setting it back in the drawer, she says not to open it at night, so I won’t. Richard looked forward to not opening the box, to playing along, to Jenny’s being reminded, once again, of how cooperative he was, of how much he loved her, come what may.
#
Their mornings were a blur of readiness. Richard had to catch up on the news and the reports before the (still, in fact, quite literal) bell; they both exercised in the small gym that they’d installed in one of the bedrooms. Dinner would be choreographed.
Richard’s work desk (three monitors, precisely lined-up, a small pile of notes) was in another bedroom. Richard had succeeded as in investor because his definition of “success” was modest enough that he’d attained it. Jenny made enough to support them both; he brought in the vacation money, the paying-a-little-extra-to-the-mortgage money. In the relatively-infrequent instances in which he made more than a couple hundred dollars a day and didn’t have any losses to backfill, he transferred that excess to a savings account. His steadiness, his reliability, was his contribution to the team.
How they met (Richard’s version): Jenny had done an internship, the summer after her first year of law school, at a nonprofit legal services clinic, helping indigent folks with landlord disputes, utility issues, and the like. Richard’s father had made a donation, and Richard took his dad’s comp ticket to the fundraiser and he found himself being smiled-at by the cutest girl in the room. He worked up the courage to say hi to her. They ordered shots.
And so, his falling in love was simple. They dated for a while, and eventually he couldn’t see not dating her. Such was the story when he told it, and so it remains. He was supposed to love her, and he did.
How they met (Jenny’s version): In a lot of respects the same as Richard’s, except sillier, more whimsical. She thought he was both cute and interesting-looking, slim, well-dressed but out of place. She thought he was a skinny-jeans bad boy, dressed up for a night on the town. She pulled him, by the wrist, into her circle of interns. They ordered shots.
But both of their stories bore some significant omissions, and Richard knew that they were all on him. Richard had only accepted that fundraiser ticket from his dad because Richard had resolved to be around nicer people, in the hopes of being existentially transformed. The skinny-jeans bad boy hadn’t slept at all the night before; Jenny would ease him out of a problematic cocaine habit.
Getting clean was, honestly, not the hardest thing he’d ever done. He went from being a person who partied with a constellation of mediocre friends, long nights of video games and inexplicable holes punched into walls, to being someone who tried to not do coke, and eventually someone who didn’t, with Jenny.
Her loving him required more compromise and loss, on her part, than his loving her required of him. She had to forgive an exceedingly-inelegant cheating/relapse scenario, a few months into their relationship (never repeated). Richard knew that she loved him, but also that she was the one who was settling. He would apologize and promise to be better every five minutes of every day, if she’d let him, but Jenny had made very clear to Richard that she was sick to death of his apologies. “Just, be better, is all.” And so he smiled and was better. And she came home with her daydreams about joining up with Teach for America, or perhaps learning the oboe and auditioning for the symphony, and he listened, and promised that she’d do fantastic, whatever it was that she did.
#
The wooden box in the nightstand didn’t cross Richard’s mind until midmorning, when he got up to stretch his legs, use the bathroom, get more coffee. Crossing through the master bedroom to the bath, Jenny’s peculiar explanation came back to him. She should have told him something more, by now; why was this still going on? She should have congratulated him for not opening the box last night.
Richard sat on the bed and took a minute to flip through the family photo albums, but he already knew what he was going to do. He tried to be interested in the photos. Jenny and her brother as children, sepia photographs of people he would never know, lakes and beaches and Christmases. Her father, who had left when Jenny was a girl, and whom she had no interest in ever tracking down. Her mother, whom Richard had met a few times, at the very beginning of his and Jenny’s relationship, but who had passed away, leukemia, only a few months after their relationship began.
Richard had never been alone with Jenny’s mother, had never had a chance to swear to her that he would take care of Jenny, always be there for her, that she had nothing to worry about. But he wished he could have, and he liked conducting himself as if that had been a promise he’d made.
And Richard was better, always there for her, now. Richard understood that he might be a little overbearing, a bit too solicitous, and that Jenny’s self-contained coolness was a salutary corrective, and that both of them were better off for it.
I’m not doing anything wrong, he thought to himself, as he slid the drawer opened and picked up the box, with only his fingertips. It’s not the nighttime. She didn’t want me to open it at night. He thought, now, that it was a prank, that the box would make a bang like a firecracker, or a hilarious shriek. He thought, a moment later, that there would be a note inside, a rolled-up piece of paper, perhaps a vital message about their love. With the pad of his thumb, he pushed up the lid of the box.
There was nothing inside. The inside was the same unexceptional grayish wood as the outside, with no felt or padding within. It was like a little jewelry box, or something you might use for odds and ends, cufflinks, paperclips. There was nothing else to it. Richard poked his finger into the bottom of the box, and nothing happened. He closed it again, and set it back in the drawer. Closed the drawer. He’d already been away from his computer longer than he liked.
Richard’s work didn’t often necessitate deep thought, but it did require intense busyness. He made a lot of little decisions. The markets closed, and thereafter was more research, a spot of tidying, making dinner. Cooking dinner was a continuation of his work, really, more than a new task; the same preparatory skills and, not quite concentration but focus (extended periods of rumination were not one of Richard’s particular talents, but he could follow instructions well). That evening, Jenny’s windy, complaining story about her day ended with the conclusion that not every email merited a response, and her client should have understood as much.
He thought about telling her that he’d opened the box. But not to worry; it wasn’t at night, it was still the morning. He wanted to tell her, to highlight how he was very cooperative, even though he didn’t understand why it was that the box couldn’t open at night. He hoped that by bringing it up, she would say more; perhaps this was an old family joke – her family had a lot of inside jokes, oft-told stories, and such – that she thought he’d already been circled into.
Richard did not tell her that he’d opened the box, earlier that day. It would be disproportionate, was his ultimate call. She didn’t want me to do something and I didn’t do it, he thought to himself. Anything more, talking about it, would be overkill. She said not to open it at night, which means it was fine to open during the day, and I just did something that was fine. I don’t want to go acting like I’m so spectacular; it would look like I was fishing for a compliment.
Put that up alongside the fact that Jenny would obviously be able to tell that he was prying for information, that he didn’t understand what was going on, and that she would possibly, if that were the case, see him as ridiculous or contemptible, like her office morons, and it was preferable, all-told, to bide his time, and to trust that he’d understand it all soon enough.
Richard knew that he was often confused, that his impressions of the outside world were not, exactly, the actual outside world. From his years of abuse, he had learned that a veil, or a sort of kaleidoscope, separated him from the life he lived.
If Richard were to see a single red apple on his dining room table, it might – depending on things entirely outside of his control – obviously occasion hunger. But it might also make him think about romantically presenting Jenny a beautiful apple, or doing so like a chastened student to his teacher. He might wonder, less-romantically, about the agricultural supply chain, or he might recall a childhood cartoon about a worm in an apple, and think about how (like the well-known joke about quicksand), adulthood has not presented the same perils we feared as children.
Circling back, Richard understood that these possibilities, whichever happened to be the case, changed his actual understanding of that apple on the table. Beyond the bare objective description of the apple, it could really cause any number of feelings, and so be seen in any different way, beautiful or hilarious or disgusting, the same object.
And so, then, Richard knew that this was the way his will worked; and his moment-to-moment impressions of life – which impressions both caused his feelings and backstopped his feelings about those impressions themselves, thereby strengthening those impressions – was a funhouse scene in a horror movie, everything lurching at weird angles, everyone about to pitch over.
Which is okay! It wasn’t distinct from anybody else’s experience. His understanding this was reason enough, in a turtles-all-the-way-down sense, to refuse to see himself as special or unique for understanding this, and, not to fear that he was somehow damaged or wrong or out-of-control.
All of which is the scenic route to clarify: Richard told himself that he shouldn’t take things too seriously. The fact that there was a wooden box in a drawer in his wife’s end table, and the only information she’d given him was that it can’t be opened at night, was interesting, but not something he should worry about, or focus on, he told himself. He should stop being a silly little goose, which is something that Jenny sometimes called him.
#
Just before noon, a certain technology stock climbed above a certain target, and Richard had intended to hit the proverbial “sell” button at that point, but he was googling the various permutations – “+Austrian tradition,” +wood – of box you can’t open at night (“… don’t open,” “shouldn’t open,” etc.). Nothing was coming up. He found pages about sleep hygiene, video game puzzles, golf for some reason – but nothing that clarified Jenny’s instructions about the wooden cube sitting, inert, in her drawer.
He’d opened it again, today, and peered at its little hinges, and run his finger inside the lid, and knocked on every face of the cube, and pressed his finger inside. He put a wadded-up receipt into the box, and closed it, and opened it, and nothing had changed.
Richard thought back to the first time he’d gone with Jenny to help clean out her mother’s house, after she had passed.
Failing to get rid of old bric-a-brac was, it appears, a time-honored tradition in their family: The basement crawlspace, in which Jenny had never taken an interest, turned out to have been packed full of things that Jenny had tried to discard through the years. Her high school yearbooks had been thrown away in the trash alongside the house, but, unbeknownst to Jenny, recovered and tucked away by her mom. Outdated clothes.
On the basement’s wizened couch, Richard pored through a whole box of teenage girls’ esoterica – Jenny laughed at her youthful interests, once her embarrassment had been properly acknowledged – flipping through her paperbacks about Wicca and witchcraft, “quantum magic,” demonology, “secrets from beyond the stars.” Richard took shame in being undereducated and stupid, but that day, he was able to laugh with Jenny, that not everything was worth trying to learn.
He wondered, now, if the box he wasn’t supposed to open at night had been something discussed in those books, something she thought he already knew, for which she was giving him credit he didn’t deserve.
Richard snapped to attention and discovered that his stock, that he’d intended to sell at a certain figure, had nosed a bit higher, and he hurried to put his sale order through. His reveries, against which he usually cautioned himself, had earned him enough that he could relax the rest of the day. He decided to treat himself; he closed his other positions and logged out for the day.
Richard stretched himself across the couch and listened happily to the silence of the house. He felt decadent. Somewhere, across the subdivision, a motorcycle blared down the road, and Richard felt quiet and alone in a way he didn’t feel too frequently.
Jenny, he thought to himself, would hate this. She wanted to make everything difficult; standing at the airport when there were seats available by the gate. She was never busier, he thought to himself, than when he was exhausted to the bottom of his soul. If he’d slept poorly the night before, or wanted to spend a weekend day doing nothing of use, relaxing, lying around, on his phone, that was when Jenny was determined to spend hours fixing something around the house. She wouldn’t insist he help, though. “No, you relax,” she would tell him.
Which, of course, made Richard feel worse, and so he would sling himself up out of his reveries and help her with whatever unnecessary task she was accomplishing.
Richard’s eyes popped open; it had been so wonderfully still that he could hear them open. But he was agitated now, he felt scared, his heart fast. He spent the afternoon flipping on the television, flipping it off, reading on his phone, putting his phone away. He felt speedy and rueful, the way he’d felt as a child after having candy for dinner again, the way he’d felt when he was jacked up but just needed to sleep.
Jenny’s day was sedate; no melodramatic horror stories about the office, and only a short recital about what it would take, based on her review, to become an FBI agent. Richard listened politely. He smiled at the right times, he agreed and reiterated the right points. Jenny complimented the dinner he’d made – it was an oft-used recipe, he’d made it a dozen times – and Richard smiled, “Well, I’m glad I can take good care of you.” Richard made clear that he’d had a nice, quiet day too.
Richard was extremely bored by her prattling conversation. It orbited the same couple of planets, over and over again. On the other hand, he liked not needing to contribute much himself, to putter through the meal on autopilot. He felt undifferentiated, gelatinous. He didn’t think this to himself but he would have agreed: He felt like a dictionary, able to say anything, but resolutely lacking in narrative or cohesion.
He wanted to ask about the box, but the questions were sealed up in his chest. Asking about the box, there’s so much he would have had to say: that he was confused and that he cared, and that he had sequestered this confusion and this concern for days and days. He would be indicting Jenny for providing incomplete or unsatisfactory information, which, he feared, would risk hurting her feelings and being, all told, something of an accusation, for which she would need to apologize, which would then shift onto him a corresponding burden of apology, which he already knew she wouldn’t like. Asking about the box seemed, altogether, too complicated, and with a resigned shrug to himself, Richard decided that his instincts the prior evening were right, and that he’d probably understand more, soon enough.
#
That weekend was uneventful and substantially nice. On Saturday, went to another couple’s house for drinks and dinner and board games. They were Jenny’s and Richard’s age, a friend of Jenny’s from law school and her husband, and Jenny’s en passant mentioning that, during the week, she’d gone to her grandmother’s house to get a few small things (“some jewelry, some of her old heirlooms”) opened the evening up to a discussion about the uncomfortable steps that everyone was taking, given their parents’ advancing ages – about pre-cooking holiday dinners, allocations of time on the weekends, a widower-father’s odd refusal to be in the presence of his deceased wife’s things, the liquidation of childhood homes.
(Richard’s parents had retired to the Gulf of Mexico a few years before, and were, by all accounts, the toast of their active seniors’ community. Richard had a few amusing parables about their enthusiastic-but-inelegant use of social media and his mother’s late-in-life dedication to birdwatching, but his parents were doing better than everyone else’s, and paying respectful attention to their grim reveries about decline was the empathic choice. This was convenient, because Richard had felt no more socially-motivated than he had the night before, at supper.)
#
After Jenny left for work on Monday, Richard thought about calling her brother. He couldn’t think of anyone else to talk to, anyone else who might be able to explain the wooden box. It could have been some sort of family… tradition, or story… that they’d just never quite explained sufficiently.
Louis and Richard were cordial and friendly, though they had never taken any nontrivial steps towards a closeness independent of Richard’s marriage to Louis’ sister. Richard held his phone in his hand. He thought about the wooden box. He had the phone number on his screen, he just needed to press onto the number again to call.
Richard hesitated. How could he open the discussion? “I can’t understand this thing that she got from your dying grandmother.”
And if Richard were able to explain his question, Richard could hear Louis, not defending Jenny exactly (she needed no defense, she has done nothing wrong), but condemning Richard’s asking itself. “You know this isn’t like her.” “I don’t know what you’re talking about, but you’re definitely wrong.” “Are you using again?”
Jenny had always told Richard that she’d kept his past abuse more-or-less a secret from her family. They were genteel folk, and even though Richard had been clean for many years, Richard didn’t want to deal with the obvious likelihood that Louis would see it as a fixed state, as something that Richard would never outrun, as an ever-present danger for his sister.
Honestly, though, wasn’t Jenny being kind of a weird bitch about this? You don’t just… do this, you don’t just hand something to somebody, tell them something that makes no sense, don’t tell anybody why or how or what it means, and go about your day. She should have explained the box, last week, right from the get-go. She shouldn’t expect him to know about it, but not understand it.
No, Richard needed to relax. He had to figure out a different way. That way could involve not knowing, it would be fine. But the thought of asking Louis left Richard convinced that he was irredeemable and convicted. Had Louis been pretending not to know, all along?
Richard was not going to ask Louis about the wooden box. That was resolved. Belatedly, for the morning, Richard walked upstairs and logged into his computer for work. He felt heavier, like he was wearing a suit of armor, collapsing him to the ground.
#
Richard had been trapped inside his body for a thousand years. Never mind heaviness, there was something animate inside of him, he was something snarling, pulling and biting on the chain around his neck, trying to get out, trying to transcend.
The last night, Jenny had worked late, preparing for a trial. He greeted her at the door, all smiling and giggles, and they hugged and they kissed. “It was a day,” Jenny exhaled, shrugging herself onto a barstool around their kitchen island. Wine.
Jenny caught that he had failed to make dinner. It just slipped away from him, he intended to make it, he knew that’s what he did, and that he loved Jenny. “Okay… so…” she started off, her eyes darting, seeing nothing on the table, nothing on the stove. “I think my vote would be pizza, then, but what are you thinking?” A mischievous glint shone in her smile.
“You read my mind, darling. I just, dinner didn’t happen today, I’m sorry.” Instead of working, and then instead of cooking dinner, he had spent the day pacing around the home, once falling into a near-catatonic spell in bed, staring at the wooden box that he’d set on the nightstand.
“Yeah, sure. You want to…?” At first, Richard could neither fathom asking Jenny what she would want, nor taking the initiative and risking error.
Jenny assumed, correctly, that he was intending to ask her if she’d mind placing the order. “You bet, doll. Is everything okay?”
But Richard had broken into pieces, and was no longer able to perform as himself. Everything was okay, of course, in the sense that you can’t complain about the inevitable. Everything was terrific, going exactly as planned. Everything Richard had ever done was real, and manifest, and had brought him to this point. Everything was okay, yes. Everything was okay. He was stupid, she hated him, she hated how stupid he was, he was an addict, an embarrassment, and he always would be. He knew it. This was it, it was all, and yes, ultimately, it was okay; in hell you might suffer, but you’ll never come to harm.
He had the knife in his hand, he didn't remember picking it up, and he wanted to smash it into himself, over and over and over again, into his chest and into his temple. He wanted to cut his own throat and bleed all over her, her cynicism, her distance. She had helped him, once, but he knew that… he didn’t know what he knew, not really, but that he was impossible to help, beyond repair.
Richard went upstairs without answering her. “All right,” he said to himself. “It’s time.”
“Sweetums, what are you doing? Don’t be scary.” Jenny called back. She got up and followed behind him.
He carried himself into the bedroom, towards the nightstand. He reached. “Richard, put it down.” She called out. Richard opened the drawer. “No!” she screamed.
Richard snatched up the wooden box. “What is this thing, Jenny? Why are you being like this? What is it?”
“Oh god,” she exclaimed, frantic. “No, no, Richard! Help, someone! Help!” she screamed, and Richard was afraid the neighbors could hear, as he pushed the lid of the box up with his thumb. Oh, he, he still had the knife in his hand. It fell to the ground. It fell to the carpeting but it, it sounded like it was hitting tile.
When he opened the wooden box they were destroyed, their house annihilated, their jobs, friends, and families wiped away. Their suburban home, but also her parents’ house, and Austria, and all of life, and the past. If he’d had the opportunity to think about it, afterwards, Richard would have tried to find the resulting quietude peaceful: None of his failures followed him here, after all. He might also have thought he was getting a little carried away, that he was, in fact, still performing something, trying to see something through. But no, not really. Richard understood that, at the end, he was finally being honest.

2020.11.16 09:22 PLDT_Lover PLDT Jokes (Part 1)

The telecom giant Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT Co.) is one of the largest telecommunications company in the Philippines which became the butt of the jokes in recent years due to its very slow internet connection, unreliable service and its very slow response from customer’s complaints.
Please enjoy the jokes to your heart’s content. Thanks!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How many PLDT executives does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: None. They just let the engineers and customer care representatives do the work while the subscribers are in angst.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If the telecommunications company PLDT was a car manufacturer, they would label the gearshift as “PLDT”:
P for Powerless
L for Laggy
D for Damn Slow
T for Too Slow
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A PLDT internet service is a lot like a glossy advertisement. You don’t get what you pay for.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Why did the chicken crossed the road?
A: No. The chicken teleported to other side of the road and died because PLDT’s ping reached 789 milliseconds.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yo mama is so slow that it actually beat PLDT in the world’s slowest internet provider.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Subscribers (in angry tone): How slow does your internet connection get?
PLDT: Yes
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was taking a stride around the neighborhood when I noticed that everything around me becomes slower. I immediately realized that I living in the simulation. Worst, the Matrix is using PLDT as its internet service provider.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Three men died and goes to Heaven. As they approached, they were pleasantly greeted by St. Peter who was waiting at them at the Pearly Gates. When the three men reached the Pearly Gates, St. Peter said something to the three men.
“Hello gentlemen! Welcome to the Heaven! But before you will enter, a punishment will be given to each one of you, depending on how badly you behaved when you were still alive. But don’t worry, the punishment would not be that bad and won’t take long. I’m pretty sure you can take it.”
“Yes! We’ll do everything just to get to Heaven!”, the three men said in unison.
Then, St. Peter proceeded to give the three men their punishments for their bad deeds. The first man was given a pretty slow PLDT internet connection to browse websites in Heaven. The second man was given a slower Globe internet connection to watch videos online in Heaven. The third man was given a top – of – the – line PLDT internet connection, with minimum guaranteed internet speed of 10 Mbps using fiber optic technology and a telephone to call the customer care representatives in case he will have some problems if the internet connection becomes bad or slow.
The two men felt envious to the third man and asked St. Peter why the third guy got the best internet connection while both of them received a much slower internet connection. St. Peter responded,
“Who told you that kind of service exists?”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How do you increase the PLDT’s internet connection speed?
A: Let the President of the Philippines curse at them!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No one dared to break the PLDT’s internet speed record. It gives the slowest internet speed in the world.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Did you hear about the telecom giant PLDT becoming a major sponsor in a Formula 1 racing event? They took the last place in the 100 – lap race and finished the race long after the event ended.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ve heard in the news the telecom giant PLDT gives the fastest internet speed in the Philippines over Globe. We’ll this is not different than having only two students flexing on each other.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Overheard from a YouTube comment:
Hubble expansion: I’m the slowest thing in the universe!
PLDT: Hold my beer….
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If the Pulitzer – prize winning film critic Roger Ebert was to review the film called “PLDT”:
Here we have watched the film “PLDT”, an excruciatingly – slow three – hour film. Despite its impressive technical achievements and overarching production values that almost rivals the epic movie “Titanic”, the film ends up as an underwhelming and its ensemble cast were poorly underutilized, preferring special effects over substance. It was directed without grace and vision and the most annoying thing is how they marketed the film, touting as the next “Avatar” due to its potential technical prowess and originality that promised the future moviegoers a visual treat of the lifetime, only to be underwhelmed by their shoddy writing and heartless direction. Moviegoers might be awed at the cinematic gizmos created for the film but they would just forget it and consider it a disposable trash, and couple it with film’s very slow pace that I noticed that babies stopped crying midway between the film, their moms were fast asleep and looked bored and my fellow critics beside me were appalled how such a film could have such a bad performance; from writing, directing, and to the lesser extent, acting. The lead characters performed pretty satisfactorily and their supporting characters have somewhat wooden acting. The only characters I admired were the background extras just doing some mediocre tasks, but at least they’re doing it pretty well. If this movie would get nominations for an Oscar, the nominations would go to their background characters and visual effects for the awfully – slow “PLDT”.
The film “PLDT” is a science – fiction with promising premise, unprecedented budget but with an underwhelming impact. What were the producers thinking when they greenlight such big of an albatross, only flopping in box office and receive scathing reviews from critics and audiences alike? When a particular enterprise was designed to pump out profits without any artistic merit and risk, this is what you get; an overblown, very slow and underwhelming film which didn’t broke any grounds despite the massive budget. The film’s ticket is pretty expensive too and the audiences didn’t get what they paid for. This film is essentially a cash grab.
I would rate the film “PLDT” one out of possible four stars, with zero stars being the lowest grade, because the film is disappointing, slow and expensive.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have some prizes for the winners in this competition. The first prize is a PLDT WiFi modem. The second prize is two PLDT WiFi modems.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You know you are playing an online game in a very difficult mode if your internet service provider is PLDT. Who else would they give you a ping of 789 milliseconds from a host player who is only fifty meters away?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: What is the difference between PLDT and a bat?
A: One was a bloodsucking, soulless bastard. The other one is just a mammal.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Philippines was ranked highest among the 200 countries with the average length of time spent watching porn, but I really don’t believe it because those Filipinos were just waiting for the video to load after half an hour.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think PLDT was having an existential crisis. Who would have thought that having the best telecom equipment would give such a disappointing internet service? Does PLDT wants to be a very good internet service provider or just wants to be a turtle?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: What is the definition of a miracle?
A: PLDT that actually gives a fast internet connection, PLDT overtaking South Korean internet service providers in providing fast and reliable internet connection, and PLDT having a heart toward its customers.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We should rename the telecom giant PLDT as “Jitter”, because all it ever does is give us jitters more than decent internet speeds.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Having PLDT as your internet service provider for your company is akin to driving a Formula one car having a bad and unpredictable steering wheel during a race.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The three men were drinking on the bar and bragging who got the fastest internet speeds.
First guy: My internet, Verizon, was so fast that when I go to speedtest.com to measure the internet speed it registered a download speed of 50 Mbps! No wonder it took an eighth of a second to load a Wikipedia page.
Second Guy: Your internet is too slow, my friend. My internet, a South Korean one, was so fast that it registered a download speed of 250 Mbps in the internet speed test that it took me few minutes to download a 3 GB movies from yify.com!
Third Guy: Both of your internet are too slow for me. I got the fastest internet connection from PLDT. It registered a very fast speed of 56 kbps and it will take me whole day to download Crysis from piratebay.com
The two men were astounded and appalled what the third guy have said and bursted out laughing. The second guy said, “What makes you think that you have a very fast internet? This guy here has 50 Mbps internet speed, I have 250 Mbps and you have 56 kbps!”
The third guy replies, “I work at PLDT. I can’t complain!”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: What do you get when you cross PLDT and Globe?
A: Everything slows down.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: What do you get when you cross PLDT and a horse?
A: A technology as slow as a horse carriage.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I made a PLDT joke, but it might be too slow to get it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Subscribers: Alright guys. What do we want!
Verizon: Very fast internet!
South Korean ISP: Lightning fast internet!
PLDT: (crickets chirping)

Subscribers: When do we want!
Verizon: As soon as possible!
South Korean ISP: Now!
PLDT: ………
.
.
.
Also PLDT: ……..Moneeeeeeey!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How many PLDT technicians does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: One. They’re the only ones who work even if the PLDT’s services never improved.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Would you date a PLDT customer care representative?
A: Hell yes! They’re the most patient people I know. Just imagine dealing with people who only came to PLDT offices when the problem becomes unbearable while they having built an anger after years of neglect and suffering from very bad and slow internet connection.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: What do you call to a PLDT guy who claims that they offer fast internet speeds and have upgraded their systems?
A: A liar.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Santa Claus, a unicorn, a kind PLDT executive and a drunk guy went out from the bar and finds a Php 1000 bill (20 USD). Who gets it?
A: Of course, the drunk guy. The other three don’t exist.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Why do Filipinos keep on using PLDT and Globe as their internet service providers when they all know that they offer very slow internet connection at a steep price?
A: People have no choice but to choose between the two lesser evils.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My PLDT internet connection was so slow that my 100 – year old grandmother has told me her entire life before a Wikipedia page fully loads.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: What do you call a PLDT with very fast internet connection?
A: A unicorn.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A poor boy was sleeping on the street when he noticed a shiny lamp. He caressed the lamp and suddenly a magical genie appeared before him. The genie gleefully said, “Thank you for setting me free from the prison after thousand years! In exchange for your kindness, I will grant you three wishes and your life will be changed, forever. I will grant your wish in a blink of an eye!”
“Yes! My life will improve when I my wishes become true!” the poor boy exclaimed.
“Let’s make that happen, my dear. What is you first wish?”
“I wish that my slow – ass PLDT connection to have the fastest internet possible!”
“Done! You still have the three wishes. I just give an exception to your wish this time because you really do have a poor and very slow internet connection”, said the genie.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If I had a dollar every time the PLDT’s internet connection slows or stops, I could actually buy PLDT and make it better.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How many people does it take to fix a very slow PLDT internet connection?
A: None. Just choose other internet service providers and throw away the PLDT WiFi modem.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: What is the maximum speed of a PLDT internet connection?
A: 9.8 m/s2, only downwards.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A man goes into an electronics shop and asks the technician, “Can I get some spare cables for my PLDT WiFi modem?”. The technician thought for a minute and said, “Sounds like a fair swap”.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You know you are marriageable person if you were able to use PLDT’s internet connection for so long that you learned to be patient, you learned to accept its flaws, you can’t change things, they promise but underdeliver, and learned to live with 0.5 Mbps internet connection.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Amateurs want 150 Mbps internet connection in online games. Middle ranks want 75 Mbps internet connection in online games. Legends use PLDT’s 5 Mbps internet connection in online games.
Plot twist: average speed of PLDT internet connection if the plan was 5 Mbps is 0.5 Mbps.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: What is this thing that is very slow to work and burns cash easily?
A: A PLDT internet connection.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: What is PLDT’s favorite shape?
A: A circle, because it just likes to keep loading.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ve heard from the news that the famous actress Liza Soberano was getting pampered by PLDT when they heard that she complained about a very slow internet connection and they give her an emergency WiFi while l‘m here like still waiting from PLDT’s assistance fourteen days after I reported a problem. I guess I’ll just get married, establish myself a very good career and die a happy man before a PLDT customer care representative could assign a technician to check our internet connection.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was thinking of switching my favorite internet service provider to PLDT so that I could make better jokes about PLDT. Talk about method joking!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I first met my wife in a PLDT office where she used to work there as a customer care representative and I was there to file a complaint about their very slow internet connection. I kept on coming back to her office to see some progress about my complaint but it has been nine months since I filed and it seems to be getting nowhere and we found ourselves falling in love with each other.
I learned that having PLDT internet connection (which is very slow) might be advantageous at certain times and we were still wondering if my complaint is still being looked into years after we became married.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PLDT goes into the psychologist’s office because he was being ridiculed for being so slow and expensive, leading him to get a depression. The psychologist emphatically said, “PLDT, I know the feeling of being ridiculed by the people because of your weakness, but have you tried on improving it?”
“Yes”, said the teary – eyed PLDT.
“What were some things that you have done to improve yourself? Did you try to make your internet connection faster to please the people?” the psychologist inquired.
“I worked harder just to give them the needed internet speed but it seems that they will never be contented”, the PLDT said.
“Have you tried sharing your traffic to your peers so that you can have less burden and serve the people better?”
“No”
“Why”
PLDT pondered for few minutes and declared,
“What peer?”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How do you make PLDT roll in their graves?
A: Tell them you have switched to better internet connection.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These are the average pings of internet service providers in a certain online game.
For Globe: 150 milliseconds
For Bayantel: 180 milliseconds
For SkyCable: 200 milliseconds
For PLDT: 250 milliseconds
For PLDT (if you have contacts to PLDT executives): 50 milliseconds
For PLDT (if you have contacts to PLDT executives and have money): 25 milliseconds
For PLDT (if you have contacts to politicians, PLDT executives and have money): 10 milliseconds
For PLDT (if you have contacts to politicians, PLDT executives, have money and is famous): 5 milliseconds
For PLDT (if you have contacts to politicians, PLDT executives, have money and is famous and you are Liza Soberano): 2 milliseconds
For PLDT (if you don’t have contacts to politicians and PLDT executives, have no money, not famous and you are ugly): 999 milliseconds
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How does someone sell a PLDT internet package to people even if it has a reputation of having a crawling internet connection and very slow customer assistance?
A: They don’t have to. People have no choice.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was thinking of naming my pet sloth “PLDT” because it’s so slow as fuck.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If the Philippine government was run by PLDT, we would pay exorbitant taxes while receiving very slow and bad public services.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How do you make the 100 million Filipino people happy all at once?
A: Replace the PLDT with a much better and faster internet service provider.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I always blame the PLDT why my girlfriend and I got separated after being together for four years. It started with a rather pleasant conversation over the Skype chat. It goes like this:
Me: Hi honey! I’ll be coming to your house today at seven o’clock in the evening to see you and watch some movies with you. Luck is on our side because your parents approved of our meeting and they will actually prepare us a dinner when I will get there. I really loved you and your parents for supporting us in our relationship and I hope that this will never end. Aside from that, I’m bringing a surprise gift for your family. See you when I see you, dearest!
While I pressed “Send” on the keyboard, the PLDT internet connection suddenly becomes very slow and due to pocket loss, the message my girlfriend received look like this:
(From Me): Hi!..I’ll..............................................................................................................................................................
............................Fuck.....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................your.................................................
.....................................................................................Asss............................................................................
........................ See you...........................!
My girlfriend then replied to me after an hour, saying,
Girlfriend: What is this message you sent me? Do you really love me or are you just after of my body? That’s it, I’m breaking up with you!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The two telecom giant PLDT and Globe bragging about how fast their internet connections speeds are akin to two drunk people arguing which one of them is less drunk.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Did you hear about the newly – discovered sex position called “PLDT”? Your partner will give you money, you’ll come in very slow until your partner complains about your slowness and disappointed of your performance, then you’ll slap her with another bill!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How do you describe PLDT in four words?
A: Slow, slow, slow and slow.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I will never eat in a PLDT restaurant. The order was so slow, the food is disappointing and the price is expensive.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m an American online gamer and I always go to SEA (Southeast Asia) server to fight players there, especially the Filipino gamers because they are skilled. I often avoid players that use PLDT as their internet provider because when I fight them, I would face lag and we often get beaten. Sometimes the host goes to the enemy team, we really get beaten repeatedly that it would took me half a day to playing again due to frustration. It’s pretty easy to know what kind of internet providers the players were using by looking at their ping. For PLDT users, it’s 300 milliseconds or more.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: What do you get when you cross PLDT and Globe?
A: Everything slows down.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Did you hear about PLDT guaranteeing a minimum internet connection speed of 1.5 Mbps? I’m still waiting for it after five years.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Can Chick Norris make PLDT give a very fast internet connection?
A: No. PLDT would no longer exist because it would be roundhouse kicked and replaced by Chuck Norris internet.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seduce PLDT in four words.
- Be fast, be cheap.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A class of electronics engineering students visited the PLDT technical facility. The staff showed to the students their state of the art telecommunications equipment, fiber optics and metallic boxes that dotted the facility, leaving the student in awe.
One of the students, curious of what he sees, asked the staff, “Wow! This facility is amazing and new, but why is it that they give a rather slow internet connection?”
To which the PLDT staff replied, “Well, you need at least the Congress to compel us to increase the internet speed.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How does a PLDT kid count and say the alphabet?
A: 0, 6, 9, k, b, p, s
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: What is the PLDT’s favorite number?
A: 69, because they fucked the entire nation with their very slow internet!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Why is it that PLDT internet connection slows down when the time reaches 4:20 PM every day?
A: Because they just want to get “high” on pings.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How do you get a PLDT executive to lose his erection?
A: Whisper to him “150 Mbps at 500 pesos (10 USD)”.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are actually two kinds of internet service providers. Those that supply a decent internet connection, and there’s PLDT.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Girlfriend: Come into my house, I’m alone.
PLDT guy: I can’t. I’m at work.
Girlfriend: My parents aren’t home...
.
.
.
And the PLDT guy wasn’t able to come to his girlfriend’s house because he was too slow.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A PLDT executive dies and goes to Pearly Gates. As he approached, he was happily greeted by St. Peter while caressing his pet rooster. St. Peter said, “We actually have two rooms to choose from; Heaven and Hell. I’m going to hand you the keys to those rooms and decide where you like to spend your eternity, so choose wisely.”
St. Peter then proceeded to guide the PLDT executive to Heaven to check the place. In Heaven, he sees a serene landscape, peaceful place, angels playing harp, birds chirping and have a decent internet connection. The PLDT executive the checked the Hell and sees how exciting the life is there. He sees his fellow PLDT executives merrying, drinking wine, playing golf and using the PLDT’s top – of – the – line internet connection that gives a very fast internet experience.
When he finished checking the two rooms, the PLDT executive says to St. Peter, “In Heaven, the atmosphere was serene and peaceful, but I would like to choose Hell because it’s much more exciting there. They got a very fast internet connection and the people living there have much fun.”
St. Peter responded, “Ohhhh, I see. Okay, you can go to Hell now.”
The whole ground shook and the Pearly Gates was immediately replaced with towering fire and a stench full of sulfur. The PLDT executive was very confused and complained, “What happened to wines, golf, and very fast internet connection? Where are they?”
The Devil suddenly appeared at his back and said, “Yesterday we were advertising. Today you subscribed!”

2020.11.15 23:21 redoctobershtanding Deployment Care Package Requests and Freebies

Deployments are constantly upon us and I know there are others out there that may not have family out there that can send care packages. When I deployed a couple of years ago, I did care packages to keep the morale high in my unit. I thought I would put a list together of everything that I used and found. YMMV, but it gives you a starting point. It also doesn't hurt to reach out and ask!
Every Operation Gratitude Care Package, valued between $45 and $100, contains products donated by service-friendly companies; as well as handmade scarves and quick-deploy paracord bracelets, handwritten letters of gratitude and other “Wish List” items donated by grateful Americans.
SOT® is the means of meeting your basic moral obligation of stepping for those who stepped up to preserve your liberties, livelihoods, and businesses.
Alpha Coffee was cofounded by a US Army combat veteran and military spouse with lots of deployments under their belts (and waaay too much bad coffee choked down while on deployments)
The mission at Boots For Troops is to uplift and empower the over-all morale and mental well-being of deployed service members defending our freedom.
*I used this while I was deployed and they sent boxes of toiletries and snack packs in specially marked reusable USO mole pouches
**Disclaimer: request must be made from E-4 or higher
We allow our Active Duty fans to fill out a form to receive a FREE Military Care Package to any APO/FPO address
Bunkers in Baghdad is a not-for-profit charity that collects and sends new and used golf balls, clubs, and equipment to our troops around the world, with a focus on the brave men and women currently serving in combat zones. Bunkers also supplies golf equipment to Wounded Warriors Programs around the country to aid in the rehabilitation of our injured veterans.
Here at Operation: Cigars For Warriors, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making our troops lives a little better.
Disclaimer: Due to USPS shipping delays, delivery is NOT guaranteed for up to 5 months. Troopster is a 501(c)3 cause-driven organization, founded in 2015 by a U.S. veteran to support the Armed Forces community, deployed service members, military spouses and families with a resource to send/receive personalized and unique care packages.
Single or group request for books, dvd, or video games
Jerky for Troops
Currently out of stock, but says check back in November when deer season opens.
You sign up, and free random coffee vouchers will be distributed to you. I did this when I deployed and got maybe 6-7 free cups of coffee. It'll say who donated the voucher and you can continue writing as a pen pal
There is an email address to request packages. Must include name, address, and deployment end date
Send us an email ([email protected]) with the name and mailing address and a list of most needed items. It also helps to know the conditions at their station so we don’t send gloves to the hot zones or freeze pops to the cold areas
The Hugs Project, started May, 2004 in Oklahoma by Ray and Karen Stark, is a non profit 501 C 3 organization. We were the first ones to send cool ties (affectionately nicknamed “hugs” since they go around the neck) to the Middle East
Email link to sign up, more of a penpal/mental health support website, but does mention care package requests
Free sneakers, must be addressed 150 days prior to redeployment
Black Rifle Coffee Company is a veteran-owned coffee company serving premium coffee to people who love America
Request treats and cookie donations
There is an email address listed on the page to request a donation
fill out our "I Am Deployed" request form and we will send you some Bad Ass fresh roasted coffee to fuel up your unit.
Massive List of Additional Resources
Some might be expired, but gives you another starting point
Edit: If you had luck with others please drop them in the comments, and I'll add to the post!

2020.11.14 00:31 Anonymous--Poster Venting on my depressing birthday

So today is my 25th birthday, and I honestly feel pretty down. I often feel down on my birthdays because it makes me realise I'm lonely and wasting my life. I'm super lazy and have very low motivation, and barely work. I have always been pretty unemotional but I'm not sure if I just unknowingly suppress them or just ignore them by gaming.
I play way way too much video games, I play all day every day most days. I don't feel like I am addicted to playing games but I do find it hard to do studying or work. I'm not sure whether this is a motivational problem or stems from my gaming. I do other things occasionally like going out with friends but I will often not do these things because i can't be bothered and will stay in and game. I am often left feeling in the evenings like I've wasted the whole day.
I am a virgin at 25, and feel like I've wasted the best years of my life for just having fun whilst I was an university. I feel down about this every year. This gets me down every birthday since I was 20. I remember seeing one video of a guy losing his v at 25 and thought that would never be me, yet here I am. I also lie about not being a virgin to just about everyone because I feel like a loser. I'm a good looking guy, and people always seemed really shocked when I tell them all I've had is a few one night stands.
I spent 4 years at university studying physics and astrophysics and spent most of it playing video games, I did go out more and was more social but in my first 3 years I didnt join any societies or go out my comfort zone. In my masters year I decided I would change that and joined American football and athletics society but I recieved a serious injury which 2 years later I haven't recovered from, mostly due to my failure to do my physiotherapy.
In my last year my friends and I started exploring drugs and honestly, it's the best thing that's happened to me. I wish I had started in my first year, as I probably would have gone out more, even if I wasnt taking drugs all the time. MDMA has been particularly amazing, beside being a great experience, I think it's made me more in touch with my emotions, although I still have a long way to go.
So I graduated university last year and moved back home with my mum and younger sister and it was hard. Mostly because I'm very laid back and fairly lazy causing me to fall out with my mum. Whilst she does so much for me, she is very annoying and often difficult to live with herself (an opinion shared by my sister). But I know I am the main problem.
A month later my half-brother on my dads side took his life, I wasn't very close with him but i was still very upset. I had never really been close with my dads side of the family due to him being in and out of my life, and hadn't seen my brother in a year when he died. I'd never really understood how anyone could possibly comprehend taking their life, but since then I have often felt dying would be kind of nice. Freeing. I haven't really considered killing myself, just that life isnt that great, so death doesn't seem so bad. In the year since I have had a few low periods, a major one was when i was working nights stacking shelves, being alone for 8 hours listening to music but all I could think about how much I regret in my life. So many family relationships that were so close when I was younger but barely exist now and relationships I never gave a chance and one with my brother I will never be able to have.
Since then I have had several crappy jobs mostly in retail and find myself pretty miserable in the jobs, working in incredibly unfulfilling roles, and working few hours a week. I have applied for graduate jobs and never hear anything back. My main problem is that I didnt do an internship during my studies, because I was too lazy and unmotivated to organise one.
When I'm applying for jobs I honestly feel like I have average skills, and I struggle to sell myself because I don't do anything but play games. I've tried to learn C++ but I will do a bit of work then not look at it again for weeks. I feel like it would be easier to give up. I spend days making a CV and cover letter for jobs, because I find it so hard, and never hear anything back.
I often feel lonely, and my mates have been in relationships for years and I want the same. I want someone to share experiences with. So I tried tinder seriously over the year, and only found myself getting a few matches a week if I'm lucky and often running out of nearby people (I have low distance as I cant drive). I'm a fairly good looking guy but not photogenic at all. I had a few matches I was interested in, got numbers, and planned to go on dates with, but then I would go through a low period or just think I couldn't be bothered to message right now because I was gaming and then not speak to them for a week or so and then they would stop responding. And some of them I was genuinely interested in.
Then lock down came and I was furloughed, I played video games pretty much all day every day for 11 weeks. I did spend 2 weeks helping to do work on converting our garage and doing a few quiz and video visuals with friends, but apart from that I did nothing. I basically went to bed every day super down feeling I'd wasted my time and would say tomorrow I would do something constructive. Then every day I would get up and think that I couldn't be arsed to do anything constructive. 'I'll just play one game, the I'll do some coding' then spend the whole day gaming.
I was actually glad to go back to my unfulfilling job and seeing friends over the summer. Whilst I was sad that most of my plans to go to festivals and other rave/club events where I ofter hope to meet women, it was an improvement over being stuck in the house for weeks on end. At the end of the summer I got called to do jury service and thought I would hate it. But I really enjoyed it and I felt very good that I was doing something constructive and useful with my time, I also started talking to a really great girl on tinder. She was actually the first girl on tinder where the conversation wasn't all my responsibility, she was funny and engaging. I actually found I had motivation to apply for jobs and do coding. I didn't want to play video games really. Both these things really lifted my spirits and gave me motivation.
First date went really well with the girl, but it was both our first ever date, she was a few years younger. I was super nervous but we chatted for 3 hours and it flew by. I even told her I was a virgin and she was fine about it. I didn't break the touch barrier because I didn't really know how and was unsure how she felt about it due to the pandemic. But at the end she asked for a hug and said we should play crazy golf next time and I should bring my A-game because she is competitive.
After this I'm feeling super motivated to get my dream job, because I want the best future for us and I don't want to be the unmotivated person I am because I know how unattractive it is. I know, I know, I'm getting way too ahead of myself.
Then the second lock down hits the uk, so we cant golf and she is busy with uni work, but I fell hand-over-heels for her. Two weeks later shes finally free and we arrange to meet at a park. This date doesn't go so well. I had planned before hand to kiss her, but it never happened. Nerves got the better of me and I still didnt break the touch barrier. We talked abit about our lives and futures. She didn't want kids, I did. She didn't see herself living in the uk, I did. She also never wanted to do any drugs which is something I'd like to share with a partner but by no means essential. I also would consider moving abroad for the right person. I even thought I could forgo having kids for her.
But the next day she said she wasn't ready for a relationship, busy with uni and our plans are different. Whilst I do believe these reasons she gave, I know there wasn't enough of a connection for her. I knew it after the second date. I was sad because I completely fell for her. She was beautiful, such a kind person, and she'd had a super interesting life and ambitions. The latter two being traits I'd never really felt like I'd been attracted to in a girl before. The next few days I was super down I considered asking her for one more date for golf, and that I hadn't really shown her my full self yet. But I know she doesn't owe me anything and i should respect her choice. Besides, I can't imagine my future without kids, so as hard as it feels this might be the right thing.
Hopefully next time I won't let my nerves hold me back. It's better to be rejected for being myself than holding back and never finding out if we were compatible. Hopefully next time I can apply this. I've been back on tinder to try and help me get over her, but I'm through everyone nearby and still a bit heart broken, with only a few matches to show for it.
So here I am 9 days of gaming and long sleepless nights later in another low point. I've gone from being super motivated and feeling probably one of the happiest I've been to being close to rock bottom. Thinking how my life hasn't really progressed over this year, and that right now it feels like no other girl can compare to this one. And I'm back to having no motivation
I don't know what I'm expecting to get from this, I just wanted to vent. I actually feels better just writing this. It's a step towards me talking about my feelings and admitting my problems. If anyone has read this far, I just want to say thanks for reading. Honest opinion and advice are welcome.

2020.11.09 05:49 alaskansteve Welcome To The Jungle

We are FINALLY there. This should be the emotional nadir for most everyone.
The media has declared Pedo Joe the winner, the dem leadership is patting each other on the back, they are talking transition, blah blah blah. THIS moment right now should be the darkest moment in the struggle going forward. However, the battle hasn't even STARTED and they are declaring victory, NERVOUSLY declaring victory. Look at what we are seeing. Raw hate pouring out from libs as if they have won this without question. I keep telling you the libs cannot hide or control their inner demon, and the moment they think they won, they revealed their true selves again. Newspapers openly pouring out Trump hate, hate to his supporters, celebs gloating, etc. Squishy repubs are welcoming their new NWO leader exposing them as closet liberals. I LOVE IT! The enemy has officially declared themselves.
I know without a shadow of a doubt it is OVER for the democrat party, the media, the liberal repubs, and the broken election system, ALL done in one fell swoop. You all should be FIRED UP! This is going to be the most significant moment in US history aside from the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. So now that the emotional negativity should have hit its peak, can we now let reason take over? Let's start with the most basic point.
Fraud is EVERYWHERE.
Documented by average everyday people all across the board. ANY mention of it is immediately brought down. Less than a week after the election night, after watching all states that had huge Trump leads ALL turn to Pedo Joe, we are supposed to capitulate and bow down to a media declaration of victory? The media has absolutely no more authority than you or me.
We can make an equally legitimate claim to victory, except ours is grounded in fact. Lin Wood, the super attorney, said we should not worry, that the media is meaningless, and Trump would win. So who should we be listening to? THINK about it. There is only ONE person (and proxies) who knows the REAL numbers. ONE! Who is it? Our man, DJT. He has access to the DHS numbers, NSA numbers, CISA numbers, and NO ONE in the media does. Trump said he got 71 million votes which WILL BE the most in US history. He said he won this election "by a lot", Trump Jr (2024-2032) said that they have so much evidence of corruption that not even the media will be able to recover from what is going to be exposed.
Do you know how Trump spent his day yesterday? GOLFING! Does this seem like a man who has even a shred of concern that he lost? Just this alone should be all you need to know, truly. But THINK even deeper. The lib plan to steal the election on election night FAILED so they had to change their plan which is why they stopped counting. If they kept counting, they were going to lose. Their fraud was being countered, and they could not overcome it with whatever electronic system they had in place.
I have read a lot of detail about the fact that they had a plan to take specific states early, the program was built and designed to do so, and when it failed, they went into full panic mode. That means they had to rely on PEOPLE, not some PC program to do the dirty work. That is DOOM to their cause. Why? In order to coordinate all this fraud they had to speak to each other. That means phone calls, texts, emails, chat boards, etc. The NSA will have ALL of this recorded. ALL OF IT! They are DEAD you all.
The Trump team has a fleet of the world's best attorneys compiling HUGE amounts of data exposing the fraud. The GOP in NV submitted 3100 instances of fraud in NV alone. That is what the boots on the ground are aware of. Imagine MI, PA, WI, GA., AZ. The Trump team anticipated ALL of this. They patented a TON of election security programs and tech this past year that the anons all exposed.
The DHS was busy this past year and will be crucial. LATE October the DHS said they were confident about election cybersecurity. CYBER security, which means they were ready to counter the CIA Scoreboard and Hammer program. Arlo is a program set to counter the deep state efforts. The patent for the QFS blockchain VOTING encryption took place in FEBRUARY! Do you think they went through the effort of CREATING a blockchain quantum security system that they patented almost a year in advance and DIDN'T use it? C',mon man! How about the fact they got another patent in August?
I have read several people with insider knowledge claiming the ballots aren't just watermarked, they have multiple watermarks meaning that even if the deep state put some sort of mark, they will leave off some. This is a GREAT video proving the existence of the watermarks. Someone explain away this official letter from the Sec'y of State of Mexifornia. I lost the name, but someone with deep inside ties to the DHS (Charlie something) asked what if the watermark could be seen with UV light or alternate light. Someone took their ballot stub and used a black light which did indeed show a watermark.
I lost the link, but did see the tech for quantum dot isotope labeling which some claim is being used, AND I read that the ballots were printed on paper that incorporated genetically modified corn so they could actually DNA test the paper! The has only been ONE refutation of the watermark theory, and it is completely bogus, yet it is the same thing being spread everywhere. Some random dude posted that he called his relative who works in the DHS and he said they did not print ballots, and there is no watermark.
BWAHAHA! First of all, the DHS did NOT print ballots. That is true. They contracted out with companies, gave specific instructions as to how and what is to be included, and made everyone involved sign non-disclosure agreements that I bet included prison if broken. My friend here told me Xerox was one such company.
Furthermore, for a project like this, less than 0.0001% of the people working at the DHS would know about this in advance. It would be clandestine as humanly possible. Furthermore, the people telling us the watermarks are real are credible people with decades worth of deep inside intel connections, and they admit they cannot speak about this stuff in any depth yet. One source was hinting at this back in June. I don't know how many trackers are on the ballots, but I am fully confident they are marked and tracked.
When the legal case for fraud comes up, THAT is when the DHS will let us know real ballots are tagged and tracked, and we will not know until then. I have read that of the LEGAL ballots filed, Trump got 73 million votes and Pedo Joe 26 million. That was posted before Trump said he got 71 million. Those numbers are FAR more in line with the reality we saw going into the election.
The media is PANICKED as hell right now. Twitter is deleting ANY posts that use the word "hammer". Hammer is related to the CIA fraud program along with Scoreboard. I mean if you tweet about hammerhead sharks, it gets deleted. Sound like people who are confident? People are showing the statistical analysis of how it is literally impossible for Pedo Joe to get what he got. This graph is self explanatory.
Oh, it gets better. ALL networks are right now deleting their election night coverage footage. Scrubbing it completely. Why? Because it actually documents the vote flipping and stealing. The video I wanted to link has already been scrubbed, but someone went frame by frame of Fox's election coverage when the election numbers were updated, and it showed a repub losing exactly 514 votes and a dem getting 514 votes. (Our sub already had it:) https://www.reddit.com/Conservativelifestyle/comments/jq8imm/please_share_far_and_wide_holy_shit/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
That is vote flipping caught on air. It was there for only a millisecond but it was there. We know they used advanced software to not count Trump votes. It affected over half the counties in MI, but it also affected these 18 states. Dominion is a company that provided over half of all election machines, and it is tied to and donated to the Clintons. The election machines had to be programmed, and all the memory sticks used to program the fraudulent Philly machines were stolen. Won't matter, the NSA has it ALL. Pedo Joe received far few votes in every major city except in the states of PA, MI, WI and GA.
Did you know that Trump imposed new stiffer penalties for foreign interference in an election back in 2018? ALL of this was anticipated. Trump's tweet in June is tied to the QFS encryption. Very few Trump officials have said anything. Grenell had a super brief press conference to say the DOJ had been briefed about voter fraud releasing no further details much to the chagrin of the press in attendance. The head of the FEC said there is rampant voter fraud. Dems expect us to just IGNORE all this? Yes, they truly do, and when we reclaim what we earned and they stole, they will claim we stole it from them, they are that broken.
The entire goal of the media now is to legitimize the theft, and they will act as if Pedo Joe is right now president, inaugurated Saturday. Won't matter. The dems used up ALL their ammo. Q kept saying the play book was known. It was, and NOTHING can stop what is coming. Interestingly, the acronym for one of the new gov't agencies overseeing election integrity would spell out Nothing can stop what is coming.
Not sure where to include this, but some of the things we are learning shows us how EVIL these libs are. The FBI is right now investigating workers at a nursing home who withheld food from the patients until they voted "the right way". Disgusting. A lib was caught on tape saying nursing homes were a treasure trove of fraudulent votes. Threaten the weak. Typical punk ass liberal.
Whew, that's a lot, but are you ready for the FUN stuff? The Q stuff? No new Q, but the anons are amazing. This post is crucial if true. It was posted in June, right when all the other election prep stuff was taking place. It looks like a cryptic mess that is meaningless, yet it is a count down, bottom to top, and if true, it tells us what is coming in the near future. Castle rock is the WH which was secured and mentioned numerous times by Q. The USSS is supposedly the secret service.
Red6 is the Sec'y of Defense who resigned yesterday. Not just him, but the head of US nuclear weapons resigned, and word is everywhere that Trump is set to fire Wray (deep state head of FBI) and Halspen (deep state head of the deep state CIA). Why? Q has told us before. People put into power temporarily can make DRASTIC moves, and Trump knows the deep state controls the head of the intel agencies. If he leaves those people in place, they will try to counter Trump's efforts to reclaim the election he won.
Red5 is military comms being centralized. The anons are frigging amazing. They are tracking the fact that all our biggest and best military comm planes are flying non-stop over the US right now. I am sure they are gathering data and watching for something bad. Apparently 7 E6's were over the US yesterday with Mercury, SAM's, airbuses, AWACs and more. This is HIGHLY abnormal. One of our fellow readers is a teacher who lives near an military airfield, and she emailed me to say that the flights taking off from the base have been non-stop since the election. Our boys are up to something big.
Red4 is very cryptic, but not to the anons who showed that Red4 is indeed taking place. Since HALF the Q post seems to have taken place or is taking place, what does the rest say? It mentions moving Pence or Nazi Pelosi covertly which would be to protect the chain of command, and I suspect the witch will be left to rot.
Red2 is when ALL central comms on the continental US go dark completely.
Red1 is when Twitter officially removes Trump's account, and the final step is the Emergency Alert System. Q posted this in June, and I personally believe this is going to happen. Why? First of all I have utmost faith in Q, perhaps naively, but I do. Second, half of it has already happened. Third, it makes logical sense.
When the dems have their stolen prize ripped from their hands, they are going to go berserk.
As it becomes apparent that they are not only about to lose it, but in addition, they are criminals and likely going to jail, the media who already is guilty of insurrection will interfere and go black. Do you remember a few weeks ago when all nat'l service carriers went down at the same time for a few minutes? Trump will have to use the EAM to communicate. Q also posted this post back in June (of course). Trump posted "NOVEMBER 3" back in June. Very odd, but I think it means that that was the point the election was secured through QFS encryption. Q also posted right next to it the military is the ONLY way. "Fully controlled... All systems go". Makes a LOT of sense given what we know now.
Finally, for what it's worth, Mark Taylor whose prophecies have always been right to date including him being told Trump would be president in 2015 before he even announced he was running, received another message that he reads around the 33:40 mark, What I liked is he says God raised up his anointed Trump for this. The election has been won in the spirit and must manifest in the natural. It is much lengthier, but worth a listen.

2020.11.07 12:49 StonePhantom Returning to Church after Military Service, Having a Hard Time Keeping The Faith, Reintergrating Into Society, and Dealing With Grief/Loss from a Relationship

Hello there,
I've honestly never used Reddit before or shared my personal issues in an online community. Big firsts for me. I will try to break down my problems as clearly as I can. There is a lot so I'll try to seperate out my issues and organize my thoughts. This is more of an issue dump/reaching out for me than asking questions. I hope somebody can relate or understand were I'm coming from.
I'm 26 and have recently completed 4 years of military service in the United States Army. I started back into college with my G.I. Bill. The G.I. Bill is the whole reason I joined up in the first place. Proud to have served and exhausted, upon coming home, I realized that 1.) I really did put my life on the shelf for the past 4 years. 2.) I did not date, or develop strong relationships/friendships while in the service. 3.) I had a morality/humanity shattering crisis during conflicts and skirmishes while I was deployed. 4.) I feel behind and like I'm not an adult. 5.) I am an extremely sensitive and emotional guy and I struggle with how I feel.
Returning home during a pandemic is rough. I got back home in August. Feeling extremely lonely, an old love interest came back into my life. I should have seen the current red flags and remembered the old ones. I saw her through rose colored glasses and couldnt see any red flags at all. It's taken 3 months for me to realize that i'm putting myself through the same hell I have been through before with her. Her family had an issue with me being a member of the church. I've heard it all before, that I'm a part of a cult, that Joseph Smith had all these wives blah blah blah ect. It's hard for me because I was born into the church and I wasnt really raised in it or taught the gospel. It feels like no matter what I do, in all my friend groups, or relationships, that me being LDS is a problem even if I'm not active. I get really upset about this matter and Its caused me to break friendships and relationships before.
Ultimately upon the expressed concerns of family and friends, I followed their council and put distance between me and the girl because she makes me depressed, second guess myself all the time, feel like an insane person, and her parents were not okay with me being LDS. I have returned to Church and have taken the sacrament several times. I have been reading my scriptures and I'm now in 2nd Nephi. I've been listening to many talks from the latest and past General Confrences. I have taken time to read over my patriarchal blessing. I have been praying a lot lately for peace, comfort, and stabilty. I always ask for forgiveness from the lord for my sins during deployment. I feel like my hands are forever stained with the blood of ISIS and the guilt destroys me.
I've been dealing with Anxiety, and Depression. It's related to the girl, school, PTSD, and reintergrating into society. I have a hard time slowing down, being patient, and keeping it together mentally. I feel like I'm not good at anything besides war. I have saught out help from the V.A. and am currently taking medication related to these issues.
One upside is I'm back into old hobbies like skateboarding, Playing guitar, and I recently picked up disc golf. I wrote a letter to a personal hero of mine and he wrote me back. That meant the world to me. Again, I'm posting this in here to reach out. I felt like I desperately needed too.
EDIT: Thank you to everyone who replied and shared your experiences, advice, support, and love. I really appreciate all of you taking the time to say anything to me. Its helped me a bit and would like to point out that 1.) I am getting involved with my YSA. I'm not used to talking to or hanging out with other KDS members. Most of my friends and extended family are not if the faith .
EDIT: Hey guys, thank you to everyone who responded. It means a lot to me that you guys took time out of your day to make comments, offer advice, and general love and support. I would like to let you all know that I have been going to the YSA. it kinda sucks with COVID foing on but I can manage. I've been taking my medication, I've been staying busy with the national guard, and I start therapy friday. I've been taking a lot of time to self reflect, to realize were I have been wrong and own up to that. I've been saying my prayers, and reading more in 2nd Nephi. Trying to really build a testimony here. Trying to seek out the happiness and peace promised to me in my patriarchal blessing. Anyways, thanks again.

Spin Casino Review

There’s nothing quite like watching the colorful symbols of a slot machine spin as the anticipation of Lady Luck showering you with riches builds to a fever pitch, is there?
That’s what Spin Casino is all about, and today I’m going to show you everything there is to know about it.
Pull up a stool beside me and grab yourself a beverage, because I’m going to be pressing all the buttons, unlocking all the features, and assessing whether or not this casino is rigged or straight.
By the time our session is done today, you’ll know just about everything there is to know about Spin Casino.
So, is this one likely to pay out the jackpot, or is it a flop that never pays no matter how much you feed into it?
We’re going to find out all of that and more in this Spin Casino review!

Is Spin Casino Legit?

Yes, Spin Casino is a legit online gambling site. I know this for the following reasons:
  • It has gaming licenses from the Malta Gaming Authority and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission
  • This is a Microgaming casino. These guys don’t work with swindlers and con artists. Their reputation is pure gold in this industry
  • It’s run by the Palace Group. They’re highly reputable and run several other well-known casinos such as Spin Palace and Ruby Fortune.

About Spin Casino

I’m a little like the Kojak of online casinos, minus the lollipop and shades. I don’t just take things at face value – I investigate and try to find out all I can about the operator. I’m happy to report that what I found out about Spin Casino is impressive.
As you can see, everything about this casino passes the initial smell test. It’s 100% legitimate and is run by highly professional operators. The fact that all of the games are powered by Microgaming means eCOGRA has tested the payouts and verified them fair. As far as I’m concerned, that’s awesome news.
I always like to make a comment on the site design. This one looks fantastic! It’s got a bright pink and white theme, and everything is laid out in logical, common-sense order. That goes for the mobile site, too. I visited on both Android and iOS devices, and it was a dream to use.

The Good Stuff

Every gambling site has its strengths and weaknesses. This one is no exception. Here’s what I like about Spin Casino.

Highly Reputable Operator

I always like knowing I’m in safe hands when gambling online.
This casino is run by one of the big hitters in the iGaming industry – The Palace Group. That means everything runs professionally, and you’ll be in the hands of pros.
They’ve been around since 2001 and count themselves as part of the Prima Network. As one of the largest networks in the world, they safely support over 500,000 registered players.

Huge Selection of World-Class Games

Most of the games at this casino are powered by Microgaming, with the exception of the live dealer games, which are powered by Evolution Gaming/Ezugi.
There are over 600 games in total including slot machines, video poker, table and card games, and the aforementioned live dealer games.

Sports Betting Available

I like a cheeky punt on soccer and boxing matches, and I’m glad that I’ll be able to place my bets while playing casino games at the same time. The sportsbook is technically a separate site, but it’s all operated by the same firm, and you can navigate to it straight from SpinCasino.com.

The Bad Stuff

I’ve yet to come across a gambling site that scores perfect marks in every category. This one has a few flaws, too.

No Poker Tournaments

As one of the few game types not supported by Spin Casino, if you like to challenge other players in Texas Hold’em or Omaha tournaments, you’ll have to do so elsewhere.
While they don’t appear to have anything against them, there are no dedicated poker rooms or tournaments available for players.

No US Players

It’s no secret that US players have a hard time finding online casinos that accept them. Unfortunately, this is yet another that doesn’t. Don’t worry, though, because we have a full list of US gambling sites that will welcome you with open arms.

Game Selection

This is what I like to call a “full-scale” online casino, meaning whatever type of game you want to play, you’ll be able to do so here. You’ll find hundreds of slots, dozens of video poker games, and lots of digital and live dealer blackjack/roulette games.
In this section, I’ll show you everything you need to know about these games, which firms power them, and how much they’ll cost you to play.

Software

The casino games at Spin Casino are powered by Microgaming, Evolution Gaming, and Ezugi. If you know about casino games at all, you’ll already know that these are top-level operators who produce world-class, fair, reliable casino games.
That tells me everything I need to know in advance – the gaming experience here will be second to none. Nonetheless, let’s look at the games in more detail. I’ll show you exactly what games are available in each category and what I make of them.

Slots

If you love to spin the reels in the hope of landing that one payout that changes it all, you’ll be spoiled for choice here. I love slots, and I recommend the following games at Spin Casino:
  • 108 Heroes
  • Agent Jane Blonde
  • Bar Bar Black Sheep
  • Bikini Party
  • Candy Dreams
  • Treasure Nile (Jackpot)
  • Dragon Dance
  • Dream Date
  • Exotic Cats
  • Forbidden Throne
  • Frozen Diamonds
  • Game of Thrones
  • Girls With Guns
  • Mega Moolah (Jackpot)
  • Immortal Romance
  • Shoot
  • Titans of the Sun
  • King Cashalot (Jackpot)
  • Bridezilla
  • Gold Factory
  • Jekyll & Hyde
  • Thunderstruck II
  • White Buffalo
There are currently 315 slots available at Spin Casino. Since they’re powered by Microgaming, it probably doesn’t need to be stated that they’re all world-class games. You can try all of them in “demo mode” if you want to experiment with any of them.

Video Poker

If you’ve read any of my casino reviews before, you’ll already know that I play video poker more than any other game. It’s the strategy, you see. I love knowing that I have some control and that my skill will be rewarded, rather than being at the mercy of chance alone.
If you feel the same way, check out the following games:
  • Aces & Eights
  • Aces & Faces
  • All Aces
  • Deuces Wild
  • Deuces Wild Bonus Poker
  • Double Double Bonus Poker
  • Jacks or Better
  • All American Poker
  • Bonus Poker
  • Bonus Poker Deluxe
  • Deuces & Joker
  • Double Bonus Poker
  • Double Joker Poker
  • Hold’em High Gold Series
  • Joker Poker
  • Louisiana Double Poker
  • Tens or Better
These video poker games are powered by Quickfire/Microgaming. You’ll be able to bet between $1 and $25 per hand. The games are flawless and run as smooth as silk.
As with the other games, you can play these games for free. This will allow you to assess their quality for yourself and test your video poker strategies.

Table Games

You just can’t beat good old table and card games. They make a casino what it is, don’t they? You’ll be able to play the following games and variants at Spin Casino:
  • Atlantic City Blackjack
  • Classic Blackjack
  • European Blackjack Gold Series
  • Vegas Blackjack Gold Series
  • Vegas Strip Gold Series
  • Big Five Blackjack
  • Bonus Blackjack Gold Series
  • Double Exposure Blackjack
  • HiLo 13 European Blackjack
  • Perfect Pairs European Blackjack
  • Vegas Downtown Blackjack
  • Spanish Blackjack Gold Series
  • Super Fun 21
  • Roulette
  • European Roulette
  • French Roulette
  • Multi Wheel Roulette
  • Premier Roulette
  • Diamond Edition Roulette
  • Spingo
  • Wheel of Riches
  • Baccarat
  • Baccarat Gold Series
  • Craps
I love that all the games are offered in demo mode here. There were a few variants I hadn’t played in a while, and I was able to familiarize myself with them again without playing for real money. I suggest you check them out for yourself, and you’ll see that they’re all high-quality.
Bets range from $0.50 to $500. Whether you’re a high-stakes player or are more conservative, you’ll be welcome here.

Live Casino

Live casino games are the present and the future of online table and card games, and you’ll be able to play the best of them here. Check out the following games:
  • Baccarat
  • Blackjack
  • Casino Hold ‘Em
  • Dream Catcher
  • Football Studio
  • Ultimate Texas Hold’em
  • Dragon Tiger Live
  • Roulette
  • Shangri La Roulette
  • Lightning Roulette
The live games are powered by Evolution Gaming and Ezugi, which now flies under the Evolution Gaming banner. Unlike most of the other games here, you’ll have to pay to play these from the start. There are no demo modes or free play versions available.
You can sit and watch for a while, but when you’re ready to play, you’ll be able to bet from $0.10 to $5,000, depending on the game and variant.

My Favorite Find at Spin Casino

My favorite find at Spin Casino is my favorite slot ever – Thunderstruck II. It’s probably Microgaming’s best game of all time and has truly stood the test of time.
With a cool “Norse gods” theme and a cracking multi-level free spins round, you don’t want to miss this game. It doesn’t have the biggest jackpot Microgaming has to offer, but it’s highly entertaining and could put a healthy balance in your account.

Sportsbook

If you like having a punt on games, matches, fights, and sporting events of various stripes and colors, you’ll be happy here. You can bet on the following sports:
  • Soccer
  • Basketball
  • Tennis
  • Ice Hockey
  • American Football
  • Handball
  • Volleyball
  • Cricket
  • Rugby Union
  • Rugby League
  • Esports
  • Specials
  • Virtual Sports
  • Boxing
  • Golf
  • Badminton
  • Futsal
  • Winter Sports
  • MMA
  • Snooker
  • Baseball
  • Cycling
  • Many More!
You’ll find all of the sports you can bet on listed on the left-hand menu. Some of the more popular sports are also listed on a sticky menu at the top of the main lobby page.
It’s a fairly straightforward sportsbook, although it is modern and interactive in terms of its design. There are no special features to speak of. That’s not a bad thing, in my view. I prefer simple and to the point rather than complex and convoluted, but that’s just me.
The most important thing is that this is a user-friendly site. Whether you’re using a desktop or mobile device, you’ll be able to find everything easily and will find all sports and events categorized in an intuitive, logical way.
The ability to view odds in decimal, fractional, and American formats wins major points with me. It’s these little things that show Spin Sports has put time and effort into making the user experience as enjoyable as possible. There’s nothing worse than having to convert odds in your head or on some notepaper.
The site is 100% mobile-friendly. I visited on my Android phone and found it a breeze to use. You’ll see all of the popular sports on a sticky menu at the top, there’s a search feature so you can quickly find action on sports you love, and you’ll see all of the current and upcoming events right below that.
There are no apps, but that’s okay. The mobile site is so easy to use that you won’t need them anyway.

Esports

The esports sector is on fire right now, and it’s great to see Spin Sports embracing it. You’ll find action on Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL, Starcraft 2, Rainbow Six, and Rocket League.
Leagues include the European Championship, Dream League, The United Masters League, and various other global leagues and tournaments. If esports is your thing, you’ll be happy here.

Live Betting

No modern sports betting site would be complete without enabling live/in-play betting. You’ll be able to bet on soccer, basketball, tennis, volleyball, golf, futsal, and table tennis.
There are lots of betting markets across these sports, but let’s focus on the most popular sport for in-play betting – soccer. You can wager on total score, next team to score, penalties, total goals in each half, results in each half, and lots of proposition bets such as the outcomes of corners, free kicks, and many other things.
I’ve seen some sites with a bigger range of live betting markets, but if this isn’t enough for you, it might be wise to seek help because you probably have a problem.

Promotions

Spin Casino has a great welcome bonus and a unique way of rewarding ongoing players. As you’ll see, rather than a bunch of gimmicky bonuses for each day of the week, you’ll win regular rewards by spinning a bonus wheel. This adds an element of excitement into the mix, and I like it a lot.
Let’s check those bonuses out then, shall we?

Welcome Bonus

As a new player, Spin Casino will give you three separate deposit bonuses to get you started. Here’s what you can get:
  1. You can get 100% up to $400
  2. You’ll get another 100% up to $300
  3. Then you’ll be eligible for another 100% bonus up to $300
The minimum deposit required to activate this is $10, and the wagering requirements are 50x. Those could be a little lower, but it’s a big bonus, so we can make allowances.

Bonus Wheel

Rather than lots of ongoing daily and weekly promotions, Spin Casino has come up with a unique and innovative way to make sure you’re rewarded often.
You’ll regularly be offered free spins on the bonus wheel and will win free spins, cash credits, deposit bonuses, loyalty points, and more.
Of course, standard wagering requirements apply. You didn’t think the casino would give you freebies and let you walk away, did ya?

Spin Sports Free Bet

If you decide to make use of the sports betting service, you’ll be eligible for a $200 free bet bonus. It’s a deposit match offer worth 100% of whatever you deposit, with $10 being the minimum and $200 being the maximum.
This is a straightforward deal. There are two main stipulations you need to be aware of – you’ll have to claim the offer within 7 days, and 5x playthrough requirements apply at odds of 1.3 or greater.

Banking

Let’s now take a look at the banking options available. This is a section I always pay particular attention to since it tells me lots about the gambling site. If there are any hidden nasties, I’ll normally find them here.
There are no extra deposit or withdrawal fees, but do check with your bank or card issuer. Some payment providers do charge extra fees for gambling transactions.
There are plenty of ways to make deposits and withdrawals here. Note that the withdrawal method you use will have to be the same as your deposit method thanks to anti-money laundering laws.
You can’t use cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum at this casino. Perhaps that’ll change in the future.
The maximum withdrawal you can make in a 24-hour period is $10,000.

Deposit Methods

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Neteller
  • Skrill
  • Instadebit
  • iDebit
  • eCheck
  • Much Better
  • Paysafecard
  • Neosurf
  • ecoPayz
  • Flexepin
  • Instant Banking

Withdrawal Methods

  • Visa
  • Neteller
  • Skrill
  • Paysafecard
  • ecoPayz
  • Neosurf
  • eCheck
  • iDebit
  • Instant Banking

VIP Program

Spin Casino has a multi-level loyalty club with progressive benefits. That means each time you reach a new level, you’ll unlock a bunch of new rewards.
There are six levels in all – Blue, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Prive.
As with most loyalty schemes, you’ll earn points. Each 1,000 “Club Points” will be worth $10. Here’s what’s on offer at the various levels:
  • Blue – You’ll get access to exclusive tournaments and $500
  • Silver – You’ll receive the same benefits as blue level, but your bonus will be worth $1,000
  • Gold – At this level, you’ll get all the perks of silver, but your bonus will increase to $2,000, and you’ll unlock access to new tournaments
  • Platinum – Here, you’ll get all the gold-level perks plus a $5,000 bonus, access to exclusive tournaments, and your own account manager who you can contact 24/7
  • Diamond – At this level, your bonus will be worth $7,500, you’ll get your own VIP territory manager, and you’ll have access to your own personal phone number
  • Prive – Your monthly bonuses will be worth $10,000 at this level, you’ll get all the diamond-level perks, plus invitations to global events, and exclusive gifts and bonuses
All in all, this is a generous VIP program albeit a standard one in terms of format. You’ll be well rewarded here.

Customer Service

If you need to reach out about anything, which you will at some point no matter how good a casino is, you have the following options.
Email – There’s an email form on the site that you can submit comments and questions through. Expect a reply within 24 hours.
Live Chat – A much faster way to get in touch is via live chat. I did have to wait roughly two minutes before getting connected, but the answers I got regarding bonus offers were satisfactory, and the live chat agent was friendly.
I’d like to see a telephone hotline option, but this is good enough for now, and the service is fine. Perhaps as this casino grows, telephone support will be added.

Would I Play at Spin Casino?

Yes, I’d most definitely play at this casino, and in fact, I will be doing just that from now on. It’s rare that a casino I review wins me over as a player, but this one has done the trick.
If you’re after world-class games (and plenty of them), ongoing bonuses and rewards, fair banking policies, and solid customer support, look no further – you’ve found your site in Spin Casino.
Go ahead and check it out for yourself. We promise you’ll like it!
